Paris in sight for Sarrou: ‘It is going to be the race of my life’
Jordan Sarrou will represent his country in Paris next month. He calls it the ‘most exciting race of his life’.
“I don’t think it gets bigger than racing in front of my family, friends, and in my home country at the most important race in the world. I want to enjoy it as much as possible. It will be magic."
Sarrou has been one of the most consistent riders in the XC scene over the last 18 months, resulting in his leading position in the UCI XC world rankings and ultimately his selection to race in Paris. It will be his second participation, as the former World Champion also competed in Tokyo four years ago.
“I am super happy that I’ve made it into the squad. I will continue to work hard in the next weeks to arrive in the best shape possible in Paris. The World Cups ahead of this race will be instrumental, and I want to take the chance to continue performing there too.”
The next World Cup is in Val di Sole, not this weekend, but the weekend after, in the Italian Alps.
